The bonded seal (also known as Dowty Seals and Dowty Washers) consists of a metal insert with a vulcanised rubber compound profile that is bonded to the bore. The bonded seal is designed to achieve both pressure and vibration resistance in high pressure and temperature conditions where metal washers are inadequate.
